CEA Technologies was established in 1983 by two former Naval Officers with a goal of creating a centre of excellence for the design and support of systems for the Australian Defence Force.

'Molonglo' is an original piece by Aboriginal artist Garry Purchase. It was commissioned by CEA Technologies in 2020. The depiction of the Australian platypus aligns with CEA's early and ongoing vision to design and manufacture the best radars in the world.

The platypus is a significant part of Canberra's ecosystem. Platypuses use electroreceptors located inside their duck-bill, similar to that of CEA Technologies radars. This piece of art resonates with CEA Technologies and is recognised as our meaningful connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the true custodians of the land and waterways on which our employees live and work.
