CEA supporting the next generation of engineers

Local NSW and ACT students took part in hands-on STEM challenges at a regional science and engineering challenge at Emmaus Christian School in Canberra.

CEA Technologies is investing in the next generation of Australian engineers through its support of the University of Newcastle’s National Science and Engineering Challenge, including this year’s regional event hosted at Emmaus Christian School in Canberra.

Over three days, hundreds of Year 9 and 10 students from across the ACT and neighbouring NSW schools took part in hands-on STEM challenges designed to mirror real-world engineering problems.

Working in teams, students designed, built and tested solutions under pressure. Challenges ranged from constructing bridges to carry heavy loads, to exploring electrical resistance in low-cost power delivery and developing communication systems using pulses of coloured light through fibre optics.

Supporting initiatives like this is a direct investment in Australia’s future capability. CEA Technologies is deeply committed to strengthening Australia’s STEM capability. Early exposure to STEM helps students see what these pathways can lead to and where they can contribute.

The Challenge builds towards a national championship to be held at Parliament House later this year, bringing together top-performing teams from across the country. CEA Technologies is proud to support the national event as a sponsor.
